Since AT&T Wireless is pressing their HSPA+ as their 4G with trials of LTE working or organizing to operate in a few parts, I would assume the GSM variation of the iPhone to have HSPA+ 4G as Apple hasn't taken the chance of setting up a characteristic (4G LTE) when it isn't fully guaranteed to work.
